Hundreds of employees from Moneypenny in Wrexham took part in a sponsored ‘lunchtime’ walk on Friday (March 18) – raising £621 for Sport Relief.

The walk started at the company’s current offices on Wrexham Technology Park and made its way to Croesnewydd Road, off which Moneypenny’s new £15m headquarters is being built.

Glenn Jackson, Managing Director of Moneypenny, said: “We wanted to show it’s possible to raise money and keep fit even if you only have an hour to do it. Lots of the staff here enjoy going for a walk on their lunch break so it seemed like the perfect way to help such a great cause. Plus, it was a brilliant opportunity for the team to have a look at the new office.”

Due for completion this summer, the 91,000 sq ft building will boast a village pub, a treehouse meeting room, a restaurant and stunning landscaped gardens with nature trails.

Glenn added: “As we’re currently in the process of recruiting we have a number of new PAs who haven’t yet seen the building so it was a special moment to be there with everyone.”

As well as the ‘lunchtime’ walk, staff at Moneypenny donned their best gym gear to get into the sporting spirit and raise hundreds of pounds for the charity.
