HMRC introduced a compulsory new system for the reporting of PAYE on 6 April 2013 in real time, known as PAYE Real Time Information or PAYE RTI. RTI requires all employers to report PAYE to HMRC electronically from payroll software every time they pay their employees.

PayeRti.org provides general background information on all things RTI, as well as a postcode look-up database for accountants supporting all RTI reporting channels; it is entirely independent of HMRC and Government and backed by the leading small business and accountancy organisations, such as: the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), ICAEW, ACCA and ICAS.

Anna Sparrow, who heads the PayeRti.org web campaign team in Edinburgh, explains: “We’re delighted that with over 6000 clients, Moneypenny is supporting the PayeRti.org campaign to raise awareness of the impact RTI is having on small businesses.”

Glenn Jackson, Moneypenny’s Managing Director, agrees. He comments: “We recognise the many challenges for SMEs in the UK today who have demands placed on them from all directions. We work alongside these businesses, helping them operate effectively by answering the telephone for them whenever they need us. For this reason, we are pleased to support PayeRti.org; whatever else needs doing in a day we are all for making life that bit more straight forward so that every box is ticked, customers still receive a first-rate service and every opportunity is captured.”
