It’s an exciting year for Moneypenny, as we celebrate our 25th birthday and thinking back on our journey, for us, it’s not only about honouring our past but also about focusing on how we can positively influence our amazing people, community, and the environment, now and in the future. Our commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) has always mattered to us, and in 2025 we plan to see continued momentum towards ensuring our mission to be a force for good. One of our key focuses for 2025 is continuing to reduce our carbon footprint. Over the past 2 years, we’ve been reporting our emissions with Planet Mark, and 2025 marks the start of our full scope carbon data collection.
We’re excited to have already made significant progress this year and are pleased to announce that at the end of March we installed solar panels on the roof of our custom-built office in Wrexham – over 200 of them! This project is part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, and it feels like a great way to mark our 25th year. The cherry on top is having the opportunity to work alongside one of our clients, Path Energy, who installed our solar panels – another example of how we love working with people who share our values.
A client for the past couple of years, Path Energy and their team has been incredible to work with. Fun fact: Tess, their wonderful receptionist, has been part of the Moneypenny family for a whopping 20 years! It’s a reminder of how creating a positive workplace culture can lead to long-term, meaningful relationships, both within our team and the businesses with which we work.
But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. We’re turning our attention to other important areas of our 2025 ESG plan, prioritising digging deeper into our employee’s commuting behaviours and managing waste disposal in our Wrexham, London and US offices. Why? Because understanding their habits helps us make better, more sustainable decisions that benefit everyone.
On the waste side of things, we’re working towards ensuring there is a simple and clear system in place across all of our offices, alongside educating our team about waste disposal and how important good waste management is to reduce environmental impact. It’s all about making it easier for everyone to play their part in creating a greener workplace.
As we celebrate this milestone year, it’s clear that our commitment to ESG will continue to evolve. From our carbon emissions reporting to our engagement activities, every step we take is part of our bigger mission: to be a positive force for change, not just for Moneypenny, but for the world around us. We’re excited for the future!
