Apprentice or PA – which is right for you?

Moneypenny is extremely lucky to be based in an area with so many incredible people. It’s one of the reasons why our family is continuously growing. 

Our core roles centre around answering calls and chats for our clients, who are located all over the UK. We make an effort to match every PA with the right client – taking into account their personality, experience and background – and, of course, their team, so everyone’s happy. 

We’ve recently launched The Apprenticeship Academy, alongside Coleg Cambria, our local college, just a stone’s throw away from our HQ in Wrexham. 

The apprenticeship is similar to our PA role in ways, but includes study hours at college during the week.

Hours Full-time and part-time roles, available Monday-Sunday, including evenings, weekends and overnight Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm with study time included
Contract length Permanent contract with a 6-month probationary period included 12-14 months course length, leading to a permanent contract with Moneypenny
Qualifications Access to optional NVQ level 2 & 3 training outside of work hours after 6 months City & Guild (level 2 or 3) Customer Service Apprenticeship 
Requirements A can-do approach and a positive attitude, as well as key communications skills  A can-do approach and a positive attitude, as well as key communications skills

Having started her Moneypenny journey 15 years ago, Christine has worked her way up from a PA, taking calls for some of our largest clients, to Team Leader and then Team Manager. She moved over to our Working Life Team in 2018, where she progressed to her current role of Recruitment Manager.
