Moneypenny recently welcomed a group of young professionals from Wrexham and the surrounding area into their office for a breakfast event with the opportunity to connect and ‘explore collaborations’. The event included a session on mental health challenges in the workplace, hosted by Rhys Williams and Chris Nelson from Phoenix Counseling Group, who have been instrumental in helping Moneypenny promote changes to support the mental wellbeing of their employees. During the event, the attendees were told about a range of support services they can access to help with any career challenges they face in the future.
Although it’s a fairly new group, when asked about the event, Josh Williams from Wrexham Young Professionals and accountancy firm WR Partners, said “These events show the need for a platform within the local community to support the next generation as they collaborate and grow, both professionally and individually. Both Moneypenny and Phoenix Counseling share our values, and we’re grateful for their support and look forward to working with them in the future.”
Wendy Swash, Moneypenny’s Chief Operating Officer, said “Events like this are so important for supporting the next generation’s growth, by giving them a safe space for them to connect with other young talent and gain confidence. It’s not just about supporting their individual careers, but also strengthening the future of business in Wrexham.”
