Moneypenny returns to judging panel for front-of-house excellence awards

Moneypenny is delighted to be part of the judging panel for the Corporate Receptionist of the Year Award for the second year running.

The award recognises exceptional front-of-house receptionists working within the corporate sector and celebrates the vital service they provide within busy offices nationwide.

Claire Smith, Head of Business Development at Moneypenny, said: “The role of a receptionist has evolved significantly over the years and is now so much more complex than simply meeting and greeting and answering the phone. Front-of-house staff are fundamental to the successful day-to-day running of a business and as an employer of hundreds of our own Moneypenny receptionists, we understand this more than most.

“A front-of-house receptionist tends to be the first encounter a visitor has with a company and, in a world where such value is placed on client care, the power of this initial impression should never be underestimated. It’s wonderful to partner with an award that shines a light on these often unsung heroes.”

Winning CROTY has changed a lot of things and given me so many new opportunities

Kitija Lace, receptionist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and winner of the first CROTY Award, said: “Winning the inaugural Corporate Receptionist of the Year was good enough for me – a massive honour. But the trip to New York was something else.

“It was great to see how by believing in the same values and having the same goal, no matter where in the world you are, it’s possible to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. I truly can say that winning CROTY has changed a lot of things and has given me so many new opportunities and some incredible memories.”

The judging team are drawn from leading outsourcing companies, including Rapport, Condeco, Admiral Recruitment, Vpod, and Greenfisher.

Shortlisted finalists will be invited to interview during April, with the overall winner announced at the Corporate Receptionist of the Year Award ceremony on 13th May 2020 to coincide with International Receptionists’ Day.

Claire continued: “The standard of entries was extremely high in 2019 and it was a tough one to judge – I anticipate that this year will be no different and look forward to meeting the industry’s superstars!”

The competition is open to any receptionist working within a corporate organisation either directly or through a third-party service provider and as well as the award itself, the winner will be treated to a fully hosted five-day trip to New York in June.

To enter, individuals need to visit www.CROTY.co.uk to download an application form. The deadline for entries is the 28th of February 2020.
